Art Tent provides creative workshops for incarcerated youth in Central Texas and San Antonio.
Ayers House
Ayers House in San Antonio, Texas, is part of the Texas Juvenile Justice Department-- a half-way house for young men, ages fourteen through eighteen. Art Tent conducts weekly art and cooking classes for these youth, encouraging creativity and teaching important life skills.
Krier Center
Art Tent conducts studio workshops at Krier Juvenile Correction Center, a facility of Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department. Young men and women, ages 13-17, explore art and design through collaborative hands-on projects, designed to challenge preconceived notions of their capabilities and interests.
